Economic Liberties Launches New Site for Small Businessowners, Consumers, and Workers to Comment on Draft Merger Guidelines
Washington, D.C. — The American Economic Liberties Project today released ShareYourMergerStory.org, a new website designed to drive comments and feedback on the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice’s draft merger guidelines. The new microsite launches ahead of an Economic Liberties event on August 10, featuring FTC Chair Lina Khan and DOJ AAG Jonathan Kanter, to break down the draft merger guidelines.
“Public input and support will be invaluable as the FTC and DOJ work to finalize the draft merger guidelines,” said Nidhi Hegde, Managing Director at the American Economic Liberties Project. “Merger policy affects every facet of the economy, so it’s only right that the guidelines reflect the true economic realities of consumers, workers, and small business owners. We hope this new microsite empowers people to tell their story and gives antitrust enforcers the information needed to finalize this important framework.”
The new microsite provides an easy-to-use form that directly submits comments to the FTC and DOJ as part of their public comment period for the draft merger guidelines.

The American Economic Liberties Project works to ensure America’s system of commerce is structured to advance, rather than undermine, economic liberty, fair commerce, and a secure, inclusive democracy. Economic Liberties believes true economic liberty means entrepreneurs and businesses large and small succeed on the merits of their ideas and hard work; commerce empowers consumers, workers, farmers, and engineers instead of subjecting them to discrimination and abuse from financiers and monopolists; foreign trade arrangements support domestic security and democracy; and wealth is broadly distributed to support equitable political power.
