January 24, 2024 — The American Economic Liberties Project, along with a group of distinguished academics, filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court case, NetChoice v. Paxton, arguing that the Court should refuse to extend heightened First Amendment protections to social media platforms that hold themselves out as modern-day public squares.

January 23, 2024 — At an Economic Liberties event today, the #BreakUpTicketmaster Coalition, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and a group of academics and advocates, renewed emphatic calls on the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division to restore competition to the live events and break Live Nation-Ticketmaster’s power over the industry. 

January 22, 2024 — Today, Farm Action and the American Economic Liberties Project (AELP), joined by 16 other organizations, sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice (DOJ), calling on the agencies to investigate “and, if evidence warrants, to take action against” Koch Industries’ planned acquisition of OCI Global’s Iowa Fertilizer Company (IFCO).

January 18, 2024 — As junk fees become ubiquitous across the economy and cost Americans tens of billions of dollars per year, the American Economic Liberties Project today announced a new campaign, “End Junk Fees", to promote state-level junk fee legislation in statehouses across the country. The campaign was announced at an Economic Liberties event featuring state representatives Analise Ortiz (AZ) and Nick Pisciottano (PA), and National Economic Council Deputy Director John Donenberg.
